Last Sunday Peddington was lined with spectators on both sides for what always promised to be an action-packed climax to a great tournament. Building on the success of last year's series of 10 goal tournaments in the Cotswolds, this level has again provided thrilling four man polo; as fun for spectators as it is to play.
It took 4 ½ chukkas to reach a 6 - 5 conclusion to the Humphrey Guinness 10 goal final in favour of the Foxcote boys in red. Despite their win, Foxcote were struggling to keep control throughout the game with Shibumi proving an extremely strong opposition. Click here for full match report on our website.
The RJ Polo 2 Goal Final
After two tough semi-finals for Bluestone Insurance and Cross Country Medical, against Los Chinos and Foxcote respectively, they were due to battle it out last Sunday morning to take the RJ Polo 2 Goal title. Both teams were united and strong, level pegging up until the final chukka. With Matt Evetts, for Bluestone Insurance, and Ollie Jones, for Cross Country Medical, scoring nearly every goal. But in the fourth chukka, Cross Country Medical managed to gain full control, with Tom Coid scoring for the win, ending the game 6 - 5. Congratulations to Cross Country Medical for winning the final and to Virgo Stone for beating Noon Giraffe, 6 - 4½, in the 5th & 6th place subsidiary final. A huge thank you to our tournament sponsors RJ Polo for their support and some fantastic prize's for all the winners.
